FAQ

Frequently asked questions about my freelance copywriting and content writing services:

Q) I need SEO writing services for my business. Do you provide B2B content or B2C content?

Both! I specialize in Business-to-Business (B2B), but I am also happy to write Business-to-Consumer (B2C) copy and blog post content.

Q) I want concise and effective copy, but I also need regular blog content for my website. Can I hire you as a blog post writer in addition to your copywriting services?

Absolutely. Allowing me to write both your copy and your content means that the tone, style, and voice of your brand will be a consistent match across the board.

Q) Do you understand SEO best practices for increasing website traffic?

Yes. In addition to my ten years as a freelance writer, I have completed certifications for:

  • HubSpot Inbound Marketing
  • HubSpot Business Writing
  • HubSpot Content Marketing
  • Google Digital Marketing

I’m up-to-date on SEO best practices, and I use them frequently in my day-to-day work.

Q) Do you provide keyword research and title optimization?

Absolutely, though I am also happy to use topics, titles, and keywords that you provide to me.

Q) Can you match the tone, voice, and style of my brand?

Yes. Before I get started, I will ask you some questions to get a feel for what you want. In addition to this, I will research and read your existing content and copy thoroughly. That way, your brand’s tone and style are fresh in my mind as I begin writing.

Q) I want to hire a great freelance writer, but I’ve never done it before. Can you walk me through the process?

Sure! In fact, I have a whole “How it Works” page that explains the processes of hiring, working together, and payment.

Q) I already have web or ad copy, but I want to increase click-through rates and maximize conversions. Can you help me revise my existing copy?

Definitely. I’m flexible based on your needs. I can edit existing copy to make it cleaner, snappier, and more action-oriented.

If you provide analytics and metrics (such as your Google Analytics or similar information) I can do A/B testing and optimization. This is a process that does take some time. However, it also practically guarantees better results, higher conversions, and more sales for your business. Well worth the wait!

Q) What do your freelance copywriting services typically cost?

Due to high demand and an increase in requests for video conferences, I now charge a flat fee of $500 per week of service.

I make every effort to keep my turnaround times low, and I will never charge you for time I did not spend working on your project.

Q) How do you handle invoicing and payments?

You have some options.

  • We can use an escrow service for payment protection. You will need to fund the project up front, but those funds will be held securely in escrow by a third party (I currently use Upwork) until I have submitted the work, all revisions are finished, and you are happy with the final product. This option protects us both and keeps things simple!

Or…

  • I can send you an invoice through PayPal or Square (your choice) so you can make easy credit card payments at your convenience. I do require 50% payment up front and 50% within 14 days of the completion of a project.

Q) What is your availability and turnaround time?

This varies. I will let you know ahead of time if I am booked in advance so we can plan accordingly. If you need a project finished ASAP, I can sometimes squeeze it in early, but I may have to charge a rush fee in exchange for quick delivery.

In general, you can expect finished projects to be returned to you within a business week.

Q) Do you provide any edits or revisions?

Officially, I offer one revision per project. Unofficially, I just want to make sure you’re happy. I’ll tweak and alter the work (within reason) until you are completely satisfied.

Q) Can I call and speak with you or schedule a video chat meeting?

Yes! Let’s get to know each other.

All fees for video chats and phone calls beyond the initial free meeting are covered under the weekly flat rate.

I’m working on posting my calendar for easy booking, but for now, email me and we can set it up the old-fashioned way.

Q) I want to hire you. How do we make it official?

The easiest way is to email me and let me know! We can get to know each other, talk project details, and begin an official contract. I do my utmost to respond to emails within 24 hours during the business week.
